A House Of Dynamite


A House Of Dynamite is the scariest film of this halloween season, and it’s not a horror film. The film follows an imminent nuclear attack from multiple vantage points as various people from the military to the situation room to the president weigh the various choices that must be made to prevent an apocalyptic disaster. All these elements and characters (played by an incredible ensemble cast) could have been too much to juggle but the great Kathryn Bigelow (in her first film as director since 2017’s excellent and criminally underrated Detroit) is an incredible master of tension and storytelling construction and dares us to relax for two hours. This is hollywood filmmaking of a high order that powerfully displays an important message if the wrong people are given the wrong privileges the world just may end with a bang and a whimper. This is one of the year’s best. 

I Give It 5 Stars!!!
